The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) plans to launch the first line of its third copper concentration plant by July 2025.
АГМК планирует запустить первую очередь новой медно-обогатительной фабрики в июле 2025 года.

According to the document, all construction and installation work on the cyclic-flow technology system with a transportation capacity of 65 million tons of ore is set to be completed by May 2025.

In June, the delivery, installation, and assembly of the key technological equipment necessary for the launch of the new plant will be finished.

The first phase of the third copper concentration plant is scheduled to be commissioned in July 2025. The plant will process up to 60 million tons of ore annually.

As a result, the capacity of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex for ore processing will increase from the current 40 million to 100 million tons.

The project is being financed through the AGMK's own funds and loans from foreign banks. The total cost of the extensive modernization program for the mine is estimated at $4.8 billion. Completion of all work is planned for 2026.

Construction of the 4th copper concentration plant at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex began in October 2024.
