Nishonsky and Mirishkor districts will be transformed into innovative centers for cotton cultivation.

The Chinese company "Xinjiang Liuhua" has successfully cultivated cotton on 1,520 hectares of irrigated land in the Koson district, a vital hub for cotton production in Uzbekistan located in the Kashkadarya region. The use of foreign cotton varieties and drip irrigation technology has significantly boosted land productivity, according to Light Central Asia.

Additionally, at the beginning of this year, the governor of the Tashkent region, Zoyir Mirzaev, met with representatives of the Chinese company "Xinjiang Lihua Group Co., Ltd." to discuss proposals for cultivating high-quality cotton varieties on 30,000 hectares of land and constructing a cotton scientific and technological base in the Tashkent region. To implement this project, the Chinese partners planned to invest 300 million dollars.

The projects being carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of cotton farming with the participation of China play a significant role in introducing innovative solutions in the country’s agriculture, enhancing yield, and creating new job opportunities.
