In the livestock sector, the implementation of 1,350 new projects is planned. It is expected that meat production will reach 3.2 million tons, while milk output will exceed 13 million tons, with 30% of it being processed industrially.
During the presentation, specific proposals to achieve these goals were discussed. In particular, work has begun on establishing breeding poultry farms for the selection of meat breeds. In collaboration with foreign partners, this experience will be extended to egg-laying poultry farming.
In several regions, such as Andijan, Namangan, Samarkand, and Khorezm, successful examples of cooperation in poultry farming are being implemented. This model simultaneously ensures income for the population and supports the efficient operation of industry enterprises. For instance, the "Yetti Hazina" enterprise in the Kushrabot district provides families with vaccinated birds, cages, and feed, and then purchases the eggs they produce.
The President emphasized the need to scale such initiatives nationwide, which will not only increase production volumes but also create additional jobs. A budget of $50 million will be allocated for these purposes.
Instructions were also given to restore the financial condition and improve the efficiency of poultry enterprises that have temporarily suspended operations or are operating at reduced capacities.
Particular attention was paid to the use of pastures, which are an important source of community wealth. However, nearly half of the pastures remain unused. This is due to the lack of developed seed production of pasture plants, a shortage of water bodies and wells, as well as the absence of digital accounting and an effective land leasing system.
To rectify the situation, it has been proposed to transfer the management of pastures to the Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry Development. An electronic map called "E-yaylov" is planned to be created, which will reflect all plots indicating their intended use—for livestock, crops, or geological exploration projects.
In seven regions with the largest pastures, specialized farms similar to forestry will be established. They will be responsible for the conservation and rational use of land. The pastures within these farms will be leased to the population for up to 30 years through auctions for livestock farming, as well as for the cultivation of pistachio and almond trees.
The President approved these initiatives, giving instructions for the restoration of degraded pastures, the creation of additional wells, and the development of seed production for pasture plants. In 2025, a pilot project is planned to launch organized grazing of 1 million sheep across 500,000 hectares of pasture.
Furthermore, issues regarding financial support for enterprises in the livestock and poultry sectors were discussed. Special attention was given to increasing employment and reducing poverty levels through the implementation of new projects and the development of cooperation.
