Uzbekneftegaz plans to produce 26.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas by 2025.

The company "Uzbekneftegaz" aims to extract 26.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas by 2025, according to the news channel Oʻzbekiston 24.
«Узбекнефтегаз» планирует добыть 26,5 млрд кубометров природного газа к 2025 году.

The primary issue facing the industry has been the long-standing lack of attention to geological exploration efforts. As a result, many deposits are nearly depleted, and the efficiency of the remaining ones is low. To address this problem, it is planned to implement modern technologies and commence geological exploration in 15 promising areas, expanding seismic survey coverage to 6,500 square kilometers.

The President has tasked the development of a program for the advancement of geology and the exploration of new deposits, involving major foreign companies and experts.

The transformation of the company "Uzbekneftgaz" continues, with key objectives including an 8% reduction in production costs and an improvement in international credit ratings. In 2025, it is planned to attract $2 billion in foreign loans to finance geological exploration and production projects.

Particular attention is being given to the training of qualified personnel. The President has instructed to enhance the quality of training for specialists and to engage qualified compatriots working abroad.
