Special regulations are being introduced that will categorize agricultural lands into two types: lands designated for agricultural purposes and lands that support agriculture.
Furthermore, the draft law includes legal provisions aimed at the strict protection of irrigated lands, allowing such lands to be used for other purposes only in the event of significant changes in water supply and soil quality.
The draft also establishes a clear distinction between land plots in the reserve fund and available land plots that can be allocated to the authorities of districts and cities after the termination of rights to the land plot.
The adoption of the bill will create a legal framework for placing agricultural support facilities on lands designated for agricultural use, converting lands from agricultural purposes to industrial lands, and regulating payments for the acquisition and use of land.
The bill was approved by the deputies in its first reading.
