Christopher Nolan and his wife, producer Emma Thomas, have been honored with knighthoods by King Charles III of the United Kingdom. Nolan received the title of Sir, while Thomas was awarded the title of Dame for their contributions to the film industry.
The director noted that the king highly praised the film "Oppenheimer," calling it exceptional.
Among other notable Britons who have received knighthoods are Paul McCartney, Sean Connery, Kate Winslet, and Helena Bonham Carter. Interestingly, Vasily Livanov was also awarded this honor for his legendary portrayal of Sherlock Holmes.
