Uzbekistan's airlines refunded over 200 million soums to customers in 2024.

In 2024, airlines in Uzbekistan reimbursed their customers a total of 220 million soums. This information was reported by the press service of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Rights Protection.

Over the course of the year, the committee received approximately 240 complaints related to poor passenger service.

"As a result of the investigation into these claims, a recalculation in favor of consumers amounting to around 220 million sums was ensured," – is stated in the announcement.

In particular, there were instances of consumer dissatisfaction due to flight delays lasting several hours, during which citizens were not provided with rest rooms, clean drinking water, or food.

There were also cases where citizens chose to forfeit their tickets due to lengthy flight delays. Following the committee's review, all citizens were refunded the amount paid for their tickets.
