A business delegation from Qatar is set to visit Uzbekistan.

On February 25, Davronbek Kurbanov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, the Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, the stimulation of mutual investments, the development of business cooperation, and the organization of delegation visits.

The Uzbekistan-Qatar Business Council was established on October 1, 2023, in Doha. Its activities are aimed at enhancing trade, economic, and investment collaboration between the two nations, establishing direct contacts among business entities, implementing joint projects, and creating favorable conditions for conducting business.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached regarding a visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation of Qatari importers this year, as well as the holding of a session of the Uzbekistan-Qatar Business Council.
