In the top ten automotive brands in Kazakhstan, Hyundai remains the leader for the second consecutive year, holding a market share of 21.6%. Over the past twelve months, 44,218 vehicles of this brand were sold in the country, the majority of which were produced at the plant in Almaty. However, compared to 2023, sales decreased by 5.4%.
In second place is Chevrolet, manufactured in Kostanay. In 2024, Kazakhstani consumers purchased 30,927 vehicles of this brand, which is a 32.5% decline from the previous year.
Kia secured the third position, selling 23,045 vehicles, which is 9.6% less than in 2023.
The fourth spot is held by the Chinese brand Chery, which increased its sales by 21.7% to 14,883 units.
Closing the top five is Jac, whose production is also established in Kostanay. By the end of the year, the brand rose from seventh to fifth place in the rankings, selling 11,771 vehicles (+56.7%).
Toyota occupies the sixth position, with sales totaling 11,045 units (+2.7%).
Seventh place goes to Haval, which sold 10,983 vehicles, a 45.3% increase compared to the previous year.
The eighth, ninth, and tenth spots on the list of the most successful brands are taken by Jetour (9,507 units, +141.9%), Changan (8,510 units, +39.8%), and Geely (8,252 units, +126.5%).
As for the most popular models of 2024, the Chevrolet Cobalt traditionally holds the leading position with 26,537 units sold.
In second place is the Hyundai Tucson (22,389 units), followed by the Kia Sportage (8,834 units).
The top ten best-selling models also include: Hyundai Elantra (6,520 units), Chery Tiggo 2 (5,310 units), Haval M6 (5,185 units), Chery Tiggo 7 Pro (4,907 units), Jac J7 (4,585 units), Hyundai Santa Fe (4,423 units), and Kia Sorento (4,208 units).
