A delegation of senior Taliban officials has arrived in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, a delegation from the "Taliban," led by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, has arrived in Tashkent for a two-day official visit, as reported by a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

In this trip, Baradar is accompanied by representatives from several Taliban ministries. The high-ranking delegation includes acting Minister of Mining and Oil Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, acting Minister of Transport and Aviation Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Alhaj Nuruddin Aziz, acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Mawlawi Attallah Omari, Mufti Alhaj Abdul Matin Said, and representatives from various government departments in Kabul.

The Taliban stated that the purpose of their visit is to enhance political, economic, trade, and transit relations with Uzbekistan, as well as to attract Uzbek investments for the development of various regions in Afghanistan.

It is worth noting that recently the Taliban expressed dissatisfaction over Uzbekistan's transfer of some helicopters to the USA, which were used by Afghan pilots during their evacuation following the change of power in the country in 2021.
