Thanks to the systematic efforts of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, the process of establishing children's citizenship, verifying the presence of relatives in Uzbekistan, and other procedures with the competent authorities of the Russian Federation has been successfully completed.
In particular, diplomats reached an agreement for the return of minors from an orphanage located within a correctional facility in Mordovia, part of the Volga Federal District of Russia.
“The children, accompanied by diplomats from the Consulate General, safely left the orphanage and were handed over to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and doctors sent from Uzbekistan,” the message states (https://dunyo.info/ru/sootechestvenniki--/rossiyaning-mordoviya-respublikasida-b%D1%9Elgan-voyaga-etmagan-yurtdoshlarimiz-%D0%8Ezbekistonga-%D2%9Baytarildi).
It is noted that this repatriation of Uzbek children from an orphanage within a correctional institution in the Russian Federation is being carried out for the first time.
