Over the past three years, 16 large solar and wind power plants with a total capacity of 3.5 gigawatts, as well as 35 small hydropower stations, have been commissioned in the regions. A system for issuing "green energy" certificates has been implemented in the industry. The number of homes equipped with solar panels has exceeded 60,000.
There are plans to launch another 16 large solar and wind power plants, 5 large hydropower stations, and energy storage capacities.
The President has tasked the development of additional projects totaling 1 gigawatt. There will also be continued support for the installation of solar panels in businesses and homes, with 2 trillion sums allocated for loans.
Furthermore, the implementation of heat pumps in kindergartens, schools, and hospitals is planned based on the experience of School No. 19 in the Bayavut district of the Syrdarya region.
Additionally, the goal for this year is to maintain economic growth at 6% and increase GDP to $125 billion. The Minister of Economy and Finance has been instructed to develop a program aimed at reducing costs and increasing added value through energy efficiency.
The President emphasized the need to transition to a resource-saving economic model, develop sectors with low energy consumption and high added value, as well as implement energy-saving technologies in large enterprises.
This year, 15% of manufacturing and infrastructure projects will be environmentally friendly, with that share expected to rise to 30% by 2027 and 55% by 2030. To support low-carbon projects, $300 million will be attracted from international organizations.
