Officials will face penalties for failing to implement dust control measures at construction sites.

The State Environmental Supervision Inspectorate will be responsible for identifying such violations and holding those accountable.
Ответственные лица понесут наказание за игнорирование мер по борьбе с пылью на строительных площадках.

The Senate approved the law "On Amendments and Changes to the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the establishment of mandatory requirements for preventing the lifting of dust and sand particles at construction sites."

According to the law, a fine of 10 times the basic calculation amount will be imposed on officials for such violations. If the violation recurs within a year after the administrative penalty is applied, the fine will increase to 50 times the basic calculation amount.

It is noted that from a 500 sq. m open construction site, an average of 50 tons of dust and sand particles are released into the air annually.

Mandatory requirements for preventing the formation of dust and sand at construction sites and access roads are included in urban planning standards, which involve the use of suspended sprinklers and water sprayers.
