The "Gishtkuprik" checkpoint will be closed for four months.

Starting February 5, the Gishtkuprik border customs post on the border with Kazakhstan will be closed for four months. This information was announced by the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan.
КПП «Гишткуприк» будет закрыт на четыре месяца.

“The restriction is being implemented to complete extensive construction and renovation works at this post. In particular, the dismantling of temporary structures, landscaping of the area, and the establishment of necessary infrastructure in the vicinity of the post are planned,” – is noted in the announcement.

Citizens and vehicles passing through the checkpoint “Gishtkuprik” will be redirected to the new customs post “Navoi” in the Tashkent district of Tashkent region.

To ensure smooth movement for individuals, passenger vehicles, and buses, the movement of freight vehicles will be restricted at the customs post “Navoi.”
