Kushebaev suggested implementing thorough checks for all individuals arriving from Chechnya upon entering Uzbekistan.

Former deputy and advisor to the Minister of Ecology, Rasul Kusherbayev, advocated for the suspension of flights to Grozny and emphasized the need for thorough checks on all arrivals from Chechnya entering Uzbekistan. In response, Deputy Odiljon Tojiyev stated that Ramzan Kadyrov should apologize to the people of Uzbekistan for his remarks made yesterday.
Кушербаев предложил осуществлять строгую проверку всех, кто прибывает из Чечни, при въезде в Узбекистан.

Former deputy and advisor to the Minister of Ecology, Rasul Kusherbaev, commented on the situation regarding those accused of attempting to assassinate Komil Allamjonov.

The General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan reported that Russian citizens Bislan Rasaev and Shamil Temirkhanov, wanted in connection with the assassination attempt on Komil Allamjonov, illegally crossed the border into Uzbekistan, concealed information about the crime, and participated in the illegal trafficking of firearms.

“Who are these people? Where did these terrorists come from? How did dangerous criminals penetrate the territory of Uzbekistan? These questions need clear answers,” Kusherbaev stated.

Earlier, the President of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, while denying the involvement of Chechens in the assassination attempt, threatened Komil Allamjonov and Dmitry Li, stating that they would “answer for their schemes, slander, and fabrications.”

“Open threats against Uzbek officials are acts of terrorism. All those involved must be held accountable for such statements or actions.

Why is the government of Uzbekistan silent when such threats are made? How long will we observe threats made against us from a position of chauvinism? Isn’t it time to provide a worthy response to the open threats from an official?”

“The response should not just be a statement but should involve concrete measures. If necessary, flights to Grozny should be canceled, and every visitor from Chechnya entering Uzbekistan should be thoroughly checked,” emphasized the former deputy.

Legislative Chamber Deputy Odiljon Tojiyev condemned the interference of President Ramzan Kadyrov in Uzbekistan's internal affairs, as well as the threats and pressure on government officials.

According to him, such actions could negatively affect the relations between the two friendly countries and harm the friendship between their peoples.

“I urge the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation to legally assess Ramzan Kadyrov's threats against Uzbek officials. Additionally, Ramzan Kadyrov should publicly apologize to the people of Uzbekistan for his statements yesterday. At the same time, if he considers himself a friend, he should provide practical assistance to the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan in locating the wanted Bislan Rasaev and Shamil Temirkhanov and hand them over to Uzbekistan,” the deputy stated.

Attempt on Komil Allamjonov

On October 26, near his home in Kibray, Komil Allamjonov, who led the Department of Information Policy of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan until September 30, 2024, was attacked: several shots were fired at his car. Allamjonov himself was not harmed.

Earlier, on November 25, the General Prosecutor's Office reported the detention of seven suspects in connection with the crime, of which only one was publicly named — Javlon Yunusov, extradited from South Korea. It was also stated that another suspect was detained in Kazakhstan.

In November, there were personnel changes in the system of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, including the dismissal of several high-ranking officials.
