Latvia and Uzbekistan have the potential to enhance their migration cooperation.

During the negotiations, issues related to the organizational dispatch of citizens of Uzbekistan to work in Latvia, the simplification of the visa regime, the establishment of a legislative framework for labor migration, as well as the organization of joint educational institutions and centers were discussed.

The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the competent authorities of both countries in protecting the rights of labor migrants. They also confirmed their readiness to develop bilateral relations in the sphere of external labor migration.
