Microsoft has announced the Muse neural network, designed to generate game scenes from textual descriptions. The development involved the studio Ninja Theory, which uploaded over 1 billion data points from the game Bleeding Edge.
The AI is already capable of creating game fragments in real time, although currently with limited quality — a resolution of 300×180 pixels at 10 FPS.
Microsoft does not view Muse as a fully autonomous game developer but sees it as a powerful tool for porting, expanding content, and other tasks.
Recall that in August 2024, Microsoft confirmed its plans to soon retire the "Windows Control Panel." It first appeared in 1985 with the release of Windows 1.0.
