The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah presented a piece of the sacred Kaaba covering to Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to Podrobno.uz, on February 19, Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed a delegation from Saudi Arabia led by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah, who is visiting our country. The guest presented the president and the diverse people of Uzbekistan with a gift from the Saudi king – a piece of the kiswah, the sacred covering of the Kaaba.

The leader of Uzbekistan expressed deep gratitude for the gift, as well as for the conditions created for the stay of Uzbek pilgrims in the centers of the Muslim world – Mecca and Medina. Just last year, over 800,000 of our citizens performed Umrah and 15,000 completed Hajj.

During further discussions, the parties focused on improving the conditions and quality of services provided to pilgrims from Uzbekistan, ensuring their safe and comfortable stay in Saudi Arabia.
