A new director has been appointed to the Forestry Agency.

Erkin Mukhtidinov was born in 1976 in the Andijan region. In 1997, he graduated from the Andijan State Institute of Economics and Management (Bachelor's degree), in 2000 from the Banking and Finance Academy, and in 2007 from the Japanese Graduate School of the Institute of Developing Economies.

Mukhtidinov has held various positions at the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity, Turonbank, and the Central Bank.

From 2017 to 2022, he served as the First Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan. In 2022-2023, he was the Deputy Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction.

It is worth noting that on October 15, he was relieved of his duties as the First Deputy Hokim of Tashkent Region for Finance, Economy, and Poverty Reduction. At that time, the head of state criticized the work accomplished in this area. In December 2024, he was appointed head of the Department of Forestry Policy, Biodiversity, and Ecotourism.
