A new director has been appointed to the Statistics Agency.
Behzod Khamraev has been appointed as the director of the Agency of Statistics under the President of Uzbekistan. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In connection with this, the appointment Behzod Khamraev has been relieved of his position as Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank.
Behzod Khamraev was born in 1983 in the Bukhara region. In 2006, he graduated from the master's program at Tashkent State Economic University, and in 2016, he completed his studies at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Japan. He holds a master's degree in econometrics and statistics.
Since 2008, he has worked within the Central Bank system, and in 2020, he was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank.
