German companies have offered Uzbekistan advanced solutions for biodiversity protection.

On February 26, Ilzat Kasimov, the Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held discussions with representatives from the German companies BioConsult and ProTecBird.

Foreign specialists showcased the AVES Wind system, demonstrating its capabilities for real-time detection and identification of birds, both during the day and at night. Special attention was given to the technology's adaptability to the specific conditions of Uzbekistan.

During the presentation, the technical parameters of the system were thoroughly examined, including its accuracy and efficiency, as well as integration considerations taking into account the country’s climatic and ecological features, such as bird migration routes and national regulatory requirements.

The significance of implementing innovative solutions to minimize the negative impact of wind energy on biodiversity was emphasized, particularly in terms of preserving rare and migratory bird species. Additionally, prospects for scientific collaboration and data exchange were discussed to deepen the understanding of wind energy's effects on the environment.

Representatives from ProTecBird expressed their readiness to establish an official presence in Uzbekistan. In this regard, key aspects of team formation were analyzed, including the recruitment and training of specialists, creating conditions for research work, and potential collaboration with local universities and research centers.

Furthermore, the potential of utilizing Uzbekistan as a strategic hub for the further expansion of ProTecBird’s activities in Central Asia was discussed.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on the next steps for implementing ProTecBird technologies in Uzbekistan.
