Discussed collaboration opportunities with representatives from the British bank "Standard Chartered."

On January 28 of this year, a meeting took place between Saif Malik, the CEO of the British bank Standard Chartered, and Jamshid Kuchkarov, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The bank is also engaged in issuing green bonds and financing environmental projects, as well as participating in educational and economic development support programs.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the expansion of infrastructure projects, modernization of the electricity grid system, projects implemented through public-private partnerships, the transformation processes of state-owned enterprises, trends in financial markets, cooperation with banks in Uzbekistan, and the role of banks in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and agriculture.

Additionally, during the discussion, issues related to the development of the energy sector were addressed, specifically improving energy efficiency through increased use of green energy and renewable energy sources, fostering a green economy and sustainable growth, as well as advancements in information technology.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop and strengthen mutual cooperation and to expand the process of exchanging views.
