Payment for travel using palm recognition has been launched at 12 metro stations in Tashkent.

The Tashkent metro has launched a palm print payment system called MyID Palm. This was announced by the company Uzinfocom.
Оплата проезда по ладони внедрена на 12 станциях метро в Ташкенте.

The system was developed by local specialists in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, the payment service ATTO, and Octobank.

Uzinfocom assures that the technology provides a high level of protection for user data. Biometric profiles are securely protected against unauthorized access and forgery.

Currently, MyID Palm scanners are operating in test mode at 12 stations on the Chilanzar line, including stations from “Olmazor” to “Buyuk Ipak Yuli.” In the near future, there are plans to expand the system to all stations of the Tashkent metro.

To use the system, passengers need an ATTO transport card and a smartphone with the installed application.

The creation of a biometric profile is carried out through information kiosks at the stations where the corresponding equipment is installed.

Additionally, there are plans to implement the MyID Palm feature in the Octobank mobile application, allowing users to link any bank cards for fare payment.

As a reminder, testing of the system began at the end of November 2023 at the “Druzhba Narodov” metro station.
