Assassination attempt on Allamjonov: "Chechen connection" and Kadyrov's threats.

The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, issued a warning to Uzbek officials, stating that they would "answer for all intrigues and slander according to Chechen traditions." Following this, the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan confirmed that two Russian citizens are being sought in connection with the attempted assassination of Komil Allamdzhanov. Uzbek activists have asserted that Kadyrov should apologize to the people of Uzbekistan, and it is time to tighten checks on every Chechen citizen entering the country.

On December 26, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, once again dismissed the "Chechen trace" in the case of the assassination attempt on two Uzbek officials — Komil Allamjanov and Dmitry Li, while simultaneously threatening them. According to him, pro-Western media are spreading rumors about disagreements within the presidential family.

"If I were behind this, I would have seen it through to the end on the very same day. It's not right to have such a poor opinion of me. I believe that alongside a thorough investigation of this incident, a service check regarding the investigators involved in this matter is also necessary. In any case, I strongly advise all interested parties not to associate the Chechen trace with any sort of intrigues.
I recommend Komil Allamjanov and Dmitry Li not to play the role of victims. Whatever you are planning, it’s better to stop now; otherwise, you will have to answer for all the intrigues, slander, and conjectures. And I am referring to the response according to our traditions,"
stated Kadyrov.

Earlier, in November, he labeled the rumors about the "Chechen trace" in the Uzbek assassination case as a political game aimed at inciting conflict between Uzbeks and Chechens.

Kadyrov's statement came after reports that Uzbekistan, through Interpol, had issued an international wanted notice for two Russian citizens — Bislana Rasaeva and Shamil Temirkhanov.

The website Lenta.ru previously published that these two Chechens are implicated in the assassination attempt on Komil Allamjanov, a former official of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, and Dmitry Li, the director of the Agency for Future Projects. According to a source, the mastermind promised $1.5 million for carrying out the killings. Although the original publication was removed, the information managed to spread to other resources .

Following this, on December 26, Kadyrov made his statement. On December 27, the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan confirmed that, as part of the investigation into the assassination attempt on Allamjanov, two Russian citizens are being sought.

According to the prosecutor's office, Bislana Rasaeva and Shamil Temirkhanov have been charged in absentia under articles of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, including illegal border crossing, concealment of a crime, and illegal handling of firearms.

"Rasaev and Temirkhanov have been charged in absentia and placed on the wanted list with a measure of restraint in the form of detention," the statement reads.

After the confirmation of the search for the Chechen citizens and Kadyrov's statement, Uzbek deputies and activists responded to the threats.

Former deputy and advisor to the Minister of Ecology, Rasul Kusherbaev, stated that it is necessary to suspend air traffic with Grozny and tighten checks on every Chechen citizen entering Uzbekistan. Deputy Odiljon Tojiyev demanded public apologies from Kadyrov to the people of Uzbekistan.

"Open threats to Uzbek officials constitute terrorism. Those who plot or express such threats must be held accountable. The response should not just be in the form of statements but through concrete measures. If necessary, air traffic with Grozny should be canceled, and every citizen of Chechnya should undergo thorough checks upon entering Uzbekistan," Kusherbaev stated.

Deputy Odiljon Tojiyev also condemned Kadyrov's "interference in the internal affairs of Uzbekistan."

"I urge the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation to conduct a thorough investigation into the statements made by the head of Chechnya and provide a legal assessment. Ramzan Kadyrov must publicly apologize to the people of Uzbekistan for his statements, which are unacceptable in international practice and harm good neighborly relations."

"If Ramzan Kadyrov truly considers himself a friend of our people, he should assist the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan in locating Bislana Rasaeva and Shamil Temirkhanov, as well as their transfer to Uzbek law enforcement agencies," the deputy stated.
