Starting April 1, price regulation for over-the-counter medications will be lifted.

The Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency has been assigned additional tasks:

– the development of the dietary supplements and cosmetic products industry, including market research, analysis, localization of production, and the implementation of advanced foreign practices and standards in enterprises within this sector;

– in collaboration with local authorities, monitoring and accounting for investment projects of pharmaceutical enterprises in the regions;

– digitalization of the pharmaceutical industry and the introduction of information programs.

By the end of 2025, the laboratory of the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety will undergo prequalification by the World Health Organization.

Starting from April 1, 2025:

• the maximum trade margins will only apply to prescription medications;
• if a single manufacturer produces drugs with identical compositions under different brand names, the lowest reference price will apply to all such drugs;
• reference prices established by the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety in foreign currency will be automatically reviewed (without the entrepreneur's request) upon changes in the established conditions.
