The "Clean Hands" program will launch on May 1, 2025.

The draft decree of the President "On the state program for the implementation of the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy in the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy" has been submitted for public discussion.

To enhance the availability of sanitary and hygienic supplies for the population, particularly the youth, the "Clean Hands" program will commence on May 1, 2025, which includes:

a) in all healthcare and educational institutions:

• provision of handwashing stations equipped with necessary sanitary and hygienic supplies;
• improvement of the technical condition of sanitary-hygienic facilities and their placement within new buildings;
• prioritization of procurement for handwashing supplies and antiseptics throughout the year.

b) the obligation to provide sanitary and hygienic supplies in all types of public sanitary facilities and food service organizations.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (I. Norkulov) will allocate additional funds in 2025 for the implementation of the activities outlined in this section, based on justified calculations from the main budget managers.

The Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being and Public Health (B. Yusupaliev) will review the standards for allocating funds to maintain the sanitary-hygienic conditions of the institutions mentioned in this section and will establish strict oversight for their compliance.
