The assistant to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the European Union Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Toivo Klaar, to discuss matters related to the preparations for the "EU – Central Asia" summit.

The parties discussed the preparations for the summit, which will take place in Samarkand in April of this year.
“Mr. Klaar expressed his commitment to supporting our reforms aimed at the legal protection of women and enhancing their economic opportunities,” – said Mirziyoyeva.
The EU Ambassador also highlighted Uzbekistan's careful attitude toward its rich history, which should always be a source of pride and contribute to strengthening the national identity of the country.
