Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Omani Foreign Minister.

At the beginning of the conversation, the minister conveyed warm greetings and a personal message from the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, to the head of state.

"The issues of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries were discussed, primarily focusing on unlocking the potential of partnership in the trade, economic, and investment-financial spheres," reported the press service of the Uzbek leader.

Special attention was given to increasing the portfolio of the existing joint investment company through new cooperation projects.

In April of this year, the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and a joint business forum will be held. Additionally, the importance of developing inter-parliamentary relations, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, and establishing direct air communication was emphasized.

There was also an exchange of views on the regional agenda, including preparations for the second summit of the "Central Asia – Gulf Countries" dialogue, which will take place in May this year in the city of Samarkand.
