Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.

On February 28, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, welcomed a delegation led by Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. This information was reported by the press service of the head of state.

It is noted that at the beginning of the meeting, the guest conveyed greetings and best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to the head of state.

As part of the implementation of agreements reached during the Russian leader's state visit to Uzbekistan in May of last year, issues of mutually beneficial practical cooperation were discussed, including the expansion of collaboration in the construction sector and territorial development.

"Particular attention was given to the development of large-scale cooperation in the construction field. Specifically, this involves the design and construction of infrastructure facilities within the frameworks of socio-economic development programs for the territories, with the participation of organizations and companies from both countries, as well as the supply of construction materials and equipment," the statement reads.

The importance of continuing the exchange of experience in urban planning, design, expertise, digitalization, and public procurement is emphasized.
