"Taking into account the suggestions received from the public and the social situation, only administrative protocols officially issued by traffic patrol inspectors will be counted in the 12-point system. Violations will be recorded in the database electronically by the State Road Traffic Safety Department, eliminating the human factor," said Erali Bozorov.
According to a clarification from a Kun.uz correspondent, in the future, violations recorded by radars will also be included in the point system.
It is worth noting that a new system for tracking traffic violations using penalty points was introduced in the republic earlier. According to the new rules, drivers who violate traffic regulations will receive penalty points. For each violation, a driver can receive no more than two points.
Penalty points accumulate over the course of a year, starting from the date of the first violation. If a driver accumulates more than 12 points during this period, they will automatically lose their driver's license for at least six months.
Earlier, Kun.uz reported that drivers may be required to retake the driving test due to penalty points.
