Court documents confirm that Firdaus Muradullaev, who held the position of prevention inspector at the Bekabad Police Department from January 2022 to July 2024, significantly exceeded his official authority.
On June 19, 2024, around 5:30 PM, brothers Dilmurad and Dilshod Yusupvaliev were forcibly taken to the police station after allegedly resisting the lawful demands of the officers. Before bringing Yusupvaliev to the interrogation room, Muradullaev struck him multiple times, causing severe injuries that led to his death on the spot.
It was also established that Muradullaev struck the second brother, Dilshod Yusupvaliev, inflicting minor bodily harm.
During the trial, Muradullaev denied his guilt, claiming that Yusupvaliev's injuries were accidental, and expressed his willingness to compensate for moral and material damages. However, his guilt was proven through witness testimonies and other evidence.
The court sentenced Muradullaev to 9 years of imprisonment.
Police officer Firdaus Muradullaev was found guilty of the following articles of the Criminal Code:
He was sentenced to 9 years in a general regime colony, along with a three-year ban on holding managerial positions and positions involving material responsibility in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other government structures.
On June 19, 2024, 43-year-old Dilmurad Yusupvaliev was taken to the Bekabad Police Department. According to reports from the Tashkent Regional Police Department, he, along with his brother Dilshod, attended a court hearing regarding their younger brother. Dissatisfied with the verdict, they caused a disturbance in the courtroom. Police officers were called to restore order and transported the participants of the incident to the police station.
At the police station, according to official reports, Dilmurad Yusupvaliev lost consciousness upon entry. He was taken to the city hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.
However, the deceased's brother, Dilshod Yusupvaliev, stated that Dilmurad was brutally beaten by the officers.
In an interview with Kun.uz, Dilshod Yusupvaliev stated:
"Two of them held my brother's hands behind his back. One hit him with a baton, another kicked him in the stomach, and a third struck him in the back. Then my brother fell. Call an ambulance, he said, I feel bad. At that moment, I was also hit and fell. Call an ambulance, he needs help, I pleaded, and at that moment one of them hit me with a baton on the ear. Five or six people started beating my brother again, all young and strong. Three of them kicked him with their shoes, one with the sole. This happened near the door of a room they called 'the zero room'."
These words confirm the violent actions that led to the death of Dilmurad Yusupvaliev.
Following the investigation, one of the police officers, Firdaus Muradullaev, was arrested and held criminally liable. The court established his guilt despite attempts to deny the charges.
