By a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 24, 2025 (No. PP-23), the Namangan State Technical University was established.

Key changes scheduled for the 2025/2026 academic year:
The topics for final qualification works and master's theses will be developed based on the real challenges faced by partner enterprises.
The defense of final projects and theses will take place directly at the partner enterprises.
Major manufacturing companies will be assigned to the university as industrial partners.
Students from the merging institutes will continue their studies at Namangan State Technical University and will receive diplomas from the new university starting from the 2024/2025 academic year.
