Digital technologies aid in the search for missing persons.

January 23, 2025, Tashkent, Uzbekistan – VEON AdTech and the Volunteer Association of Uzbekistan have launched a web platform for the UzAlert team. The new website will enhance the organization of search operations and engage a larger number of compassionate individuals in these efforts.
Цифровые технологии содействуют в поиске пропавших людей, облегчая процесс и повышая эффективность операций.

The UzAlert volunteers have been engaged in the search for missing persons since 2020. During this period, more than 1,490 requests have been received, with 1,476 successfully resolved. Today, the UzAlert team consists of over 30,000 active members, ready to assist at any moment. However, until recently, the search operations required more time and better coordination, while the existing website had limited functionality.

The updated website, developed by specialists from VEON AdTech, has significantly simplified the work of rescuers. Users can now not only submit missing persons reports through a straightforward form but also easily join the movement. The site helps organize information about volunteers, determining who can participate in search and rescue operations across various regions of Uzbekistan. Volunteer activities are becoming accessible to everyone.

« This site will help attract new volunteers and improve the coordination of search operations. The UzAlert team is sincerely grateful to the Volunteer Association of Uzbekistan for creating the opportunity to strengthen the team's potential. We also thank VEON AdTech for developing the website and providing technical support, which will greatly facilitate our work and help us stay connected with even more "missing persons" – as we affectionately call those who are lost », — noted the administrators of the UzAlert group.

“Digital technologies play a crucial role in organizing volunteer work. The creation of a resource that facilitates effective interaction among participants in search operations will allow us to unite the efforts of a larger number of people. This means that citizens of Uzbekistan will hear the hopeful and joyful words even more often: ‘Found, alive!’” — emphasized Ivan Masyutin , General Director of VEON AdTech.

Anyone can become a volunteer for the UzAlert team, regardless of social status, age, or level of preparation. Even a small contribution, whether it's putting up flyers or spreading the word among friends, can be a vital step towards bringing people home.
