At the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, an operation was carried out to evacuate Palestinians in collaboration with the health ministries of both countries. The evacuated Palestinians will remain in Uzbekistan until they are able to return to their homeland. They will be accommodated in rehabilitation centers and hospitals for treatment and recovery.

The government of Uzbekistan will ensure all necessary conditions for their stay in the country, including housing, food, access to education for children, and other essential resources, stated Kiličev.

Rafah is a city located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, on the border with Egypt. It frequently experiences air strikes due to the conflict between Israel and the Hamas group.

Earlier, Kun.uz wrote that Biden would suspend the supply of munitions to Israel in the event of an assault on Rafah.
