Uzbekistan and Belarus are enhancing their collaboration in the field of technical regulation.

On January 21-22 of this year, a delegation from the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation visited the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus (Gosstandart) to discuss the implementation process of the cooperation program for 2024-2025.

During the initial phase of the events, the delegation members visited the exhibition "My Belarus" at the Minsk International Exhibition Center.

A working group meeting was also held to discuss ways to overcome technical barriers to mutual product supplies. The meeting included the first deputy chairperson of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Nadezhda Lazarevich, and representatives from several Belarusian enterprises.

On January 22, the delegation members toured BelGIM and BelGISS, where they familiarized themselves with their areas of activity, metrological and testing capabilities, and discussed the implementation of the agreements reached.

During the events, the heads of the national metrological institutes of Belarus and Uzbekistan, Alexander Kazachok and Lazizbek Saidoripov, signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation in ensuring measurement uniformity.

At the meeting held at BelGIM, the parties discussed a "Roadmap" project for implementing the agreement, including opportunities for BelGIM to assist in organizing calibrations at the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology, as well as training and internships.

During their visit, the delegation members attended an exhibition titled "Over 100 Belarusian Brands - All in One Place!", showcasing brands known for their appeal. The exhibition, which garnered admiration and charm, featured not only retail outlets but also workshops on various crafts.
