Uzbekistan and Finland explored opportunities for new investment projects in the construction and electronics sectors.

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where Deputy Minister Akram Aliyev met with Ilkka Räisänen, the Ambassador of Finland to Central Asia.

During the meeting, a constructive atmosphere allowed for discussions on the possibilities of implementing new promising projects.

The Finnish side was presented with key aspects of the comfortable business climate established in Uzbekistan, as well as new investment initiatives in areas such as housing construction and the production of electrical engineering products.

Representatives of Finnish companies expressed strong interest in the projects, declaring their readiness to promptly commence pre-project work and prepare for the practical phase of implementation. Several projects will be executed based on public-private partnerships, incorporating Finnish expertise and technologies.

As a result of the meeting, both parties expressed a firm commitment to further deepening and expanding cooperation in all the discussed areas and agreed on a schedule of events for 2025.
