The Minister highlighted the successful implementation of the project "Diversification and Modernization of Agriculture," which began in 2019. He emphasized the positive impact of the allocated grant funds on increasing the income and living standards of the rural population in the Fergana Valley.
As part of the project, workshops and training sessions were held on business development, creating value chains, export-import operations, and the use of phytosanitary laboratory equipment.
A modern laboratory equipped with high-precision equipment has been established in Fergana. Additionally, the construction and equipping of three veterinary clinics in the regions of the Fergana Valley are underway.
During the meeting, new proposals for cooperation were discussed, along with their effectiveness and role in ensuring food security and creating value chains.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ibrahim Abdurakhmonov awarded Laura Mattioli with the badge "Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan" for her contribution to the development of the country's agricultural sector.
