Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are launching a new train route connecting Astana and Samarkand.

As specified in the statement, the parties have signed an agreement to launch tourist trains between the two countries and have established a working group to implement joint projects. The first step in this direction was the launch of the tourist train "Jibek Joly."

In addition, the meeting addressed issues related to optimizing train schedules on international routes to enhance passenger comfort and increase transportation volumes. Specifically, at the initiative of the Uzbek side, the schedule for train No. 1/2 "Almaty – Tashkent" was adjusted.
