The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Abdullah Al-Yahya, in the city of Al-Kuwait.
During the meeting, issues regarding the continuation of political dialogue, enhancement of trade, economic, and investment-financial cooperation in the context of agreements reached during the current visit to Kuwait were discussed.
“Attention was given to promoting projects in the areas of food security, industrial cooperation, infrastructure, tourism, and other sectors, as well as establishing direct air communication between the countries,” the statement said.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the high-level decision to develop comprehensive partnership between Uzbekistan and Kuwait.
It was also noted that there is a need for regular inter-agency consultations and joint preparations for the summit “Central Asia – Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf,” which will take place in Samarkand.
Within the framework of the visit, the importance of signing a new cooperation program with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development was emphasized.
