Uzbekistan and MMC Corporation are in talks about establishing new Special Economic Zones (SEZs).

During the negotiations, the implementation of agreements reached during the high-level visit to Malaysia on February 4-5 of the current year was discussed. In particular, the parties thoroughly examined issues related to the creation and management of special economic zones (SEZs) in the regions of Uzbekistan.

Both sides expressed confidence that the partnership with MMC Corporation would make a significant contribution to the development of the country's logistics and industrial infrastructure, as well as create favorable conditions for attracting foreign investments. The company's management noted the high level of conditions for doing business in Uzbekistan and positively assessed the proposed locations for the placement of SEZs. As part of the visit, representatives of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade organized a familiarization tour of these sites.

Following the meeting, a plan for further actions aimed at the successful implementation of the joint project was developed.
