Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan have signed a foundational agreement for the "Green Corridor" project.

On December 27, 2024, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan signed a founding agreement to implement the joint project "Green Corridor."

From Uzbekistan, the project involves JSC "Uzbekenergo," from Kazakhstan - JSC KEGOC, and from Azerbaijan - JSC Azerenerji.

The project, also known as the "Green Corridor," aims to enhance trade opportunities in light of new European Union initiatives such as the "Green Deal."

Implementing this project will help strengthen the stability of the energy systems in our countries and significantly contribute to our environmental goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions through "green" investments.

The parties have agreed on a proposal to establish a joint venture to implement the project in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku. The consulting firm CESI will participate in preparing the project's feasibility study.
