Last year, the sector attracted $2.2 billion in investments, of which $1.4 billion were foreign investments and loans.
In 2024, exports amounted to $840 million. At the same time, the geography of exports was expanded by tapping into markets in Thailand, Belgium, Israel, Spain, France, Croatia, Iraq, Brazil, and other countries. Over 10 new product types were exported last year.
To further increase exports of construction materials and explore new markets, the Association "Uzsanotqurilishmateriallari" is opening trade houses and warehouses in foreign countries. In particular, the "Uzbekistan Trade House," which specializes in selling construction materials, is actively operating in Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan.
As part of the localization program, products worth 3.5 trillion soums were produced in 2024, which constituted 104.5% of the established plan.
Jamshid Shermetov stated that a separate factoring body would be established to provide exporters with working capital, with a allocation of $100 million. Up to $20,000 will be reimbursed for expenses related to compliance with international certifications.
Laboratory equipment for development and research centers imported into the country will be exempt from customs duties. Additionally, $2 million will be allocated to promote local products through international marketplaces.
