Another meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council took place in Almaty.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, a regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council took place in Almaty on January 31. Following the event, five documents were signed. The delegation from the Uzbek government participated as an observer.

The meeting was chaired by Belarus. Representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Cuba, and the Eurasian Economic Commission also participated.

During the meeting, Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov called on participants to support and implement the initiatives proposed by Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the summit in December 2024.

The documents signed at the conclusion of the meeting pertain to:

  • electronic trade of goods within the Eurasian Economic Union;

  • the macroeconomic situation in the EAEU member states and proposals for ensuring sustainable economic development;

  • cross-border access to the placement and circulation of securities on organized exchanges in the union member states.
