In Bakhmal, a new stadium funded by "Open Budget" collapsed just 15 days after its completion.

In the Bahmal district of the Jizzakh region, just two weeks after its inauguration, the roof of a stadium with artificial turf, constructed at a cost of 1.19 billion sums, collapsed.

The stadium was constructed on the grounds of School No. 48 in the "Mustakillik" neighborhood as part of the "Initiative Budget" project for the first season of 2024.

According to preliminary reports, the roof may have collapsed under the weight of snow. Fortunately, at the time of the incident, there was no one at the stadium.

“It’s a relief that there were no children there at that moment. More than one billion sums were spent on the stadium. It’s unclear where that money went. We ourselves contributed 160 million sums to win in the 'Initiative Budget,'” stated our local subscriber.

According to public data, the contractor for the project was LLC Suvinshootqurilishloyiha, which won the tender with a bid of 1 billion 190 million sums. Six firms participated in the competition.

Founded in 2008, Suvinshootqurilishloyiha has a sole founder, Ikhtiyor Mukhamadiev. In recent years, it has won dozens of tenders for government contracts.
