"We regularly monitor the information space. As soon as this video was discovered online, we immediately contacted the Russian side through diplomatic channels," he responded.
According to him, they expressed deep regret and informed about the initiation of an investigation.
"As a result, it became clear that the material is provocative and fabricated by destructive forces attempting to sow discord between our peoples. The Russian side stated that the individual mentioned in the video is not a citizen of the Russian Federation," noted Burkhanov.
He emphasized that such statements against individuals, regardless of their nationality, are completely unacceptable:
"Uzbekistan has always defended and will continue to defend the rights, honor, and dignity of its citizens, wherever they may be."
He also pointed out the necessity of separating the media agenda from diplomatic matters, as well as the impracticality of promoting content from unverified sources.
"From time to time, media outlets experience turmoil due to certain events or statements. However, they may inaccurately reflect reality, and at times, significantly distort it. In this regard, we urge media representatives and the blogosphere not to disseminate unverified materials," concluded the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It is worth recalling that to respond to the video that appeared online, which compared Uzbeks to dogs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan called upon public figure Rasul Kusherbayev.
