The Ministry of Internal Affairs described the reports about the rapper Shahriyor's arrest for drug possession as "far from the truth." The spokesperson for the agency, Shokhrukh Giyasov, shared this information in a post on his Telegram channel.

Earlier, media outlets circulated information regarding the discovery of drugs on the premises of the "Shark" center in the Bektemir district, involving a man. Some media reported that this individual was the singer Shahriyor.

"The dissemination of such messages represents a severe violation of the presumption of innocence as established by Article 23 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Article 14 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan 'On Personal Data' and Article 6 of the Law 'On Mass Media'," wrote Giyasov.

He also urged media outlets to strictly adhere to legal requirements when sharing information related to investigations and inquiries.
