During operational activities carried out by law enforcement agencies, a total of 111 kilograms of narcotic substances were seized .
It has been reported that in the Samarkand region, as a result of the operation, three citizens of Tajikistan were detained — brothers born in 1980, 1982, and 1989. They delivered 10 kilograms and 894 grams of opium through alternative routes from the Panjakent district of the Sughd region of Tajikistan to the territory of the Urgut district.
The operation continued, leading to the detention of a 43-year-old woman residing in the Urgut district, who was an accomplice of the detainees. In her house, an additional 13 kilograms and 85 grams of opium were seized.
In another case in the Tashkent region, at a section of the Uzbek-Tajik state border passing through the "Turon" neighborhood of the Bekabad district, three plastic containers were discovered containing 8 kilograms and 381 grams of opium and 59 kilograms and 296 grams of hashish during operational search activities. These drugs were transported via the Dalvarzin channel from the Matchin district of the Sughd region of Tajikistan to the Bekabad district.
The operation continued, and at the moment of receiving the narcotics at the border, four residents of Bekabad born in 1985, 1989, 1996, and 1997 were detained. It is noted that two of them have previous convictions.
Furthermore, in the Bekabad district, a sports bag was found in a field located 400-500 meters from the Uzbek-Tajik state border, which had been left by unidentified individuals. Inside were 3 kilograms and 942 grams of opium and 15 kilograms and 473 grams of hashish.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding all identified facts in accordance with the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for the suspects.
