In the Surkhandarya region, a verdict has been issued for the assistant to the khokim who was caught accepting a bribe.

In the Kizirik district of the Surkhandarya region, an assistant to the hokim was apprehended while accepting a bribe of 4.5 million sums for facilitating the processing of two preferential loans totaling 33 million sums. This was reported by the program "Zamon".

As noted, the assistant to the hokim, who worked in the "Yakkatyrak" neighborhood, promised a citizen assistance in acquiring two preferential loans amounting to 33 million sums. In return, he demanded a bribe of 4.5 million sums.

According to the verdict of the court on criminal cases in the Kizirik district, the accused was found guilty under Article 168 (Fraud using official position), part 3, clause "b", as well as under Article 45 of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to 2 years of corrective labor.

Additionally, he is prohibited from holding positions related to management and material responsibility, and a deduction of 20% from his income has been established.
