In Tashkent, a cosmetologist has been criminally charged for injuring a client's face during a procedure.

A cosmetologist without a license used a scalpel to cut a woman’s face from her forehead to her ear in an attempt to lift it. However, three months later, tissue began to grow at the site of the incision. The woman sought medical help and underwent a second surgical procedure.
В Ташкенте косметолог, повредившая лицо клиентки, понесла уголовную ответственность.

In one of the beauty salons in the Chilanzar district, a cosmetologist caused facial injuries to a client. The court found her guilty and imposed a criminal penalty.

According to court documents reviewed by Kun.uz, cosmetologist U.H., lacking permission from the Ministry of Health to perform surgical procedures, carried out an operation on 45-year-old client N.K. in September 2023. She made an incision on the client's face from the forehead to the ear to narrow it.

In court, U.H. fully admitted her guilt.

"The client asked me to tighten her face. I warned her that I did not have permission for the procedure, but she insisted. In the end, I agreed.

"I began the operation and used a disposable scalpel to cut the skin of the face, removed the excess sagging tissue, and then stitched the incision with a disposable needle and thread.

"The client thanked me and left. She was supposed to undergo medical procedures for 10 days. The next day, I called to remind her to come in, but she said she had gone to a wedding in the region and would come later. After that, she informed me that she had removed the stitches at her clinic and was not experiencing any pain.

"After 5–6 months, in February 2024, the client began to complain about scars," said the cosmetologist.

According to U.H., the client demanded $2,000 from her. When the cosmetologist said she did not have that amount, the victim reported her to the police. Following this, U.H. gave her $500.

The injured party, N.K., claims that she asked the cosmetologist if she had a license for plastic surgery and received an affirmative response.

"She said she had performed such surgeries many times, and I believed her. Three months later, tissue began to grow at the incision sites. When I informed the cosmetologist about this, she said she could not do anything. Then I reported her to the police.

"To rectify the consequences of the injury, I had to undergo another surgery, which cost me 11 million sums. Considering that the defendant has already given me $500, I request that the remaining amount be collected from her," said the victim.

According to the decision of the Chilanzar District Court on criminal cases dated February 20, 2025, cosmetologist U.H. was found guilty of committing a crime under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code (Causing moderate or serious bodily harm through negligence). Taking into account Article 57 of the Criminal Code, she was fined an amount equivalent to 10 BRV.
