A marijuana cultivation lab has been discovered in the Tashkent region.

Employees of the anti-smuggling department of STK "Tashkent-AERO," in collaboration with customs officers from the "Main Post Office," the Security Service, and the Interior Ministry of Tashkent, conducted an operation in the Yunusabad district of the capital, involving the service dog Archi, assigned to junior inspector-cynologist B. Ruziev at the "Tashkent Airport" customs post.

During the operation, a resident of the area was detained after receiving a courier package in a cardboard box. According to the conclusion of the forensic examination by the Central Customs Laboratory, the package contained 886.426 grams of marijuana plant material.

Upon inspecting the detained individual’s summer house located in the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, a laboratory intended for the cultivation of marijuana was discovered. The site contained 200 cannabis plants and approximately 5 kg of dried flower buds, which were seized as evidence.

Currently, an investigatory check is being conducted regarding this matter.
